Recently, a Malay Internet celebrity expressed disappointment at Lotus’s Malaysia.
The online celebrity KiedAmy, also a Penang businesswoman, is disappointed with Lotus’s as its employees did not help to carry the items she bought.
She received a witty response from the supermarket, and the matter quickly became viral on the Internet.
It all started when she mentioned in a live broadcast that it is essential for employees to help customers carry their things into the car.
KiedAmy lamented that she spent a lot of money at Lotus’s – as much as RM5,000 per trip – but still had to carry things into the car herself.
The Customer Is NOT Always Right
Netizens criticized the woman and pointed out that the company’s policy does not require the employees to help customers carry their items.
Most people sided with Lotus’s Malaysia and its staff, saying it doesn’t matter how much money one spends on shopping.
They pointed out that the staff are exhausted from working there from morning till night; they also have to move around and tidy up the warehouse.
At the same time, Lotus’s Malaysia earned praise from netizens for its witty remarks, as social media can sometimes be heavy.
They like the way Lotus’s Malaysia lightened it up by using humour on social media, raking in engagement and lifting spirits.
