Cops looking for next of kin of foreign man dead in accident

The 2.15pm crash killed the driver Min Myo Htet, 20 due to critical injuries.

Kuala Kangsar Police chief Assistant Commissioner Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob said the victim was driving alone heading north.

“Early investigations found the vehicle had lost control approaching a turn and hitting the divider at the shoulder of the road before spinning out of control.

“The crash caused the victim to flung out of his vehicle towards the right lane. He was declared dead on the scene,” Omar said.

The body was sent to the Kuala Kangsar Hospital Forensic Unit for an autopsy.

“Police are now tracking the victim’s family and employer while the vehicle was impounded for further investigation.”

The investigations will be carried out Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, he said.
