PUTRAJAYA – The Registrar of Societies (RoS) has given a 60 day time period for Umno to explain the validity of the party’s general assembly resolution to not hold contests for the party’s top two positions.

This matter was confirmed by its party president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, according to him Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslanand the party’s legal advisor Datuk Mohd Hafarizam Harun had already met with RoS to explain in detail that the 2022 Umno General Assembly was carried out according to the regulations.

“I am confident that the secretary general has fulfilled all of RoS requests and gave them sufficient information,” hr told reporters after attending the Rural and Regional Development Ministry’s monthly assembly here today.
